Program
Day 1

After arriving in Olbia, transfer to Pedra Longa to start the trek towards Gennirco. Following a straightforward path to Cengia Giradili, we climb 780 metres up the cliff face. The effort is repaid with a amazing panoramic view from the top, ranging seawards across all of Arbatax bay and inland to the peaks of the Gennargentu massif. From there, we continue until our final destination, Gennirco sheepfold. We take a packed lunch along the way. Dinner and camp down for the night.

Day 2

Depart for Portu Pedrosu. The way wriggles along the edge of Capo Monte Santo cliff, a promontory separating Arbatax and Orosei bays. Some delightful stretches over juniper-wood guide ladders made by the shepherds mark the descent into Bacu Tenadili gully, from which we clamber out onto the other side. We take a packed lunch along the way. Dinner and camp down for the night.

Day 3

Departure for Cala Goloritzè cove. After surveying the landscape from an altitude of 450 metres, we drop down to the cove among majestic holm oaks surrounded by Mediterranean maquis, tiptoeing over a slightly inclined juniper trunk. We take a packed lunch along the way. After a starlit dinner, we camp down for the night.

Day 4

After breakfast, we head for Ololbissi. This is the most demanding stage of the whole trek, not only for its length but also for some rather difficult stretches of climbing. The effort is rewarded by surroundings of rare beauty. We take a packed lunch along the way. After an alfresco dinner, we camp down for the night.

Day 5

We depart after breakfast for Cala Sisine cove. The breathtaking scenery continues on a beautiful route with several climbing challenges: 4 abseils, 2 climbs and a traverse. We take a packed lunch along the way. We dine and stay overnight at the restaurant at Cala Sisine.

Day 6

After breakfast at the refuge, we strike out for Ololbissi in an off-roader via the Cala Sisine torrent. From there, after 6 abseils, we reach the mouth of Grotta del Fico, a cave opening up in the cliff face teetering over the sea. After a guided tour, we transfer by rubber dinghy to Cala Gonone cove and then return to Olbia, the final destination.
