This travel proposal unveils a little known area of Sicily, the largest island in the Mediterranean sea, which ancient name is Trinacria, land of three capes. Sicily has a rich and unique culture, especially with regard to the arts, music, literature, cuisine and architecture and it's also renowned for its archeological and ancient sites. With an expert alpine guide you will explore Scogliera della Salinella, the impressive cliff face near San Vito Lo Capo, and you gradually learn climbing and safety techniques. At the beginning the focus is on single-pitch climbs on the cliff face. Later, you will tackle routes with multiple pitches on main peaks, such as Monte Monaco or Monte Cofano. If you already have some experience, you can work on refining your technique on routes with several pitches and increasing difficulties. |

Another feature of the holiday regards bio-natural disciplines as relaxing moments. Lessons will be focused on the techniques of two ancient arts: Tai Chi and Qigong. Tai Chi involves slow, harmonious movements to lend suppleness and balance to body and mind; Qigong, a breathing-based discipline, helps to cultivate inner calm and concentration. |

Visit to art & history sites is part of the travel. The guide will lead you to visit Erice, an ancient Greek town located on top of a 750 meters-high mountains, with a spectacular view on the western part of Sicily. |

Program Day 1
Arrival at the airport and private transfer to the hotel. Meet the guide that will shortly illustrate the area and will give some basic concepts about climbing and oriental disciplines. Dinner and overnight.
Days 2–7 Half-board (breakfast and dinner) at the hotel. These days are a blend of climbing, bio-natural disciplines, walking and cultural excursions. Day 8 Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport.
Walking excursions (optional) To make the most of your time in this beautiful area, "Perched over the blue" also offers guided visits to the main places of interest, including: - The Zingaro natural park - The ancient Greek temple in Segesta - Egadi islands
A walking guide will be available for the excursions, to help you to enjoy all the natural beauty and the archaeological and historical treasures to the full. |
